Blizzard Discusses Diablo III PS4 in Developer Video

Want to watch a couple of talking heads wax lyrical on the PlayStation 4 and its gaming benefits? Look no further than this new Sony video, which sees Blizzard chatting about the upcoming console (read: PS3 and PS4) version of Diablo III.

Production Director John Hight, Lead Designer Joshua Mosqueira and Senior Designer Jason Bender all discuss the ways in which they are adapting the PC hit to the PlayStation platform. Naturally (because it’s all they can really talk about right not), the highlight of the PS4 for Blizzard “has got to be” the DualShock 4 controller. It’s just so ergonomic and stuff.

What’s interesting is the comparison between console and PC play. The Blizzard developers speak at length about the PS3 and PS4’s ability to provide a ‘direct’ experience through the controller, whereas the original PC experience is more ‘indirect’ with mouse-targeting. DC character Lobo will be joining the team of heroic and villainous brawlers in Injustice: Gods Among Us come May 7, but a premature listing on Xbox Live’s Marketplace has suggested that Batgirl could also be entering the comic fray very soon.

Evidence of the gaffe was recorded on video, and photos of the Marketplace listing were taken before all mention of the character was removed from sight. It appears that Batgirl will be released as part of the Season Pass for the game, which offers four upcoming DLC fighters for the price of three.

Check out the video above for evidence of its existence. Don’t bother giving it a try now though, the listing no longer exists.
